TBC Conversions to Attend The OT Show 2021

November 16, 2021 TBC Conversions Company NewsTBC Mobility

At the end of a long dark tunnel, there is now a light, as we begin to look forward to regularly scheduled live events and exhibitions returning. One such event, The OT Show, has been sorely missed over the last two years and we know how much this event means to those who work in care and those who are cared for.

Together again

For many in care, or in the care industry, events like The OT Show provide the opportunity to:

  • Research new products and services
  • Network with colleagues and peers
  • Discover more about patients needs
  • Develop new ideas and ways to help people in care

The team at TBC Conversions have always looked forward to attending The OT Show for these very reasons, and to showcase the range of wheelchair accessible cars, products, and services we offer. This year we are very much looking forward to finding out what has been happening in The OT world, as well as helping OT’s find the perfect accessible transport for their client or company needs.

What’s happening at the ot show 2021

The usual calibre of exhibitors will be in attendance at this years OT Show, each of whom will be providing expert information on the latest services and products designed to assist OTs and improve independent living for their clients.

A huge list of leading speakers will be talking about relevant topics and industry-related news and events, including:

  • Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion initiatives
  • Training opportunities and courses for OT development
  • Lifestyle advise for getting a better night’s sleep, comfortable travel, and sex with disabilities
  • Mental Health awareness

And so much more.

The future is hybrid

There’s one thing that has come out of the pandemic that affects us all in a positive way, that is how live events and exhibitions became more accessible. Obviously, there are still huge steps that are being taken to make the world a much more inclusive place to live, it is event organisers, like those who run The OT Show, who are making big changes that will ultimately make their exhibitions more accessible.

Live events and exhibitions - hybrid

Over the last 2 years, major events like music festivals and exhibitions, small-scale events and gigs in your local area were made accessible online. This meant that people who wouldn’t usually be able to attend theseThe OT Show events were now able to join in with others safely and from the comfort of their own homes.

Hybrid events are fast becoming the future of accessibility, and it’s people like OT Show organisers who are making this happen. This year instead of simply hosting the exhibition in the Birmingham NEC, organisers will be building a hybrid version of the event for people to access at home.

Let us hope that this paves the way for more events organisers to follow suit, giving those at home the chance to enjoy live events and exhibitions, music festivals, and gigs without putting themselves at risk or struggling to plan out journeys.

Of course, the overall goal will be to make all such events accessible, but whilst we are waiting, online events are certainly a way to bring a new level of event accessibility into the nearer future.

Attending The OT Show 2021

Whether you’ll be joining us in person or online at The OT Show 2021, we are very much looking forward to seeing some familiar faces again at the NEC Arena in Birmingham on the 24th and 25th of November.

We’ve missed the interaction with our peers and customers at live events and exhibitions. It’s thanks to events like The OT Show that the healthcare industry has continued to grow and develop, enhancing the way we all help the people who need and use our products and services.

You can register to attend The OT Show here and stay up to date with breaking news and announcements from TBC Conversions on our news and events pages.
