Responsibilities will include:
- Receiving the vehicle and carrying out pre-work inspection & paperwork.
- Read and understand customer specifications as per Job Card.
- Ability to produce quality work in the time allocated, and account for the quality produced.
A range of duties to include:
- Ability to identify, remove and refit vehicle/electrical components in preparation for welding.
- Use of angle grinder, metal saw, induction heater, etc. in vehicle preparation.
- Ability to inspect and position new parts in preparation for welding.
- MIG welding – Light plate.
- Clean, body seal and refit components to allow vehicle to pass into build.
- Complete & sign all paperwork
This is not an exhaustive list of responsibilities; you will be expected to perform varying tasks as required by your line manager & the business objectives of the organisation.
The Person:
Candidates must:
- A mindset that prioritises health and safety.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Have a good standard of education to include GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English.
- Have at least 1 -2 years of welding experience in a similar environment.
- Be self – motivated with excellent communication skills.
- Understand technical information and drawings.
- You will possess a strong team ethos in your work and always willing to provide support to co-workers.
- Willing to continue to develop and learn
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Full driving licence
It would be desirable, but not essential that candidates also have:
- Relevant qualifications e.g., City and Guilds, BTEC
